Standalone Junction is the permanent G Scale outdoor railway located at the Society’s club rooms at Standalone Farm.
Over the winter of 2008/09, it was completely rebuilt by members of the society, making it considerably larger and providing additional tracks. The railway now boasts two main line tracks plus an upper level track running through the village featuring working fairground rides.
In the winter of 2010/11, the west end of the layout was refurbished to include a new circuit of track and now has a farm scene and backdrop of views of Letchworth.
Over the Winter of 2016/17 the electronic control was totally updated to make it more reliable and all trains are now activated by inserting a single 20 pence coin into the coin slot.
